The Annual moon festival at Eden Center
Since 2018, our annual Moon Festival (Tết Trung Thu) at Eden Center has been a cherished occasion for families and community members to come together, but what makes it truly powerful is how it inspires our children. It’s a chance for them to connect with their heritage, to learn about the traditions that shape who they are, and to feel proud of where they come from. When children experience the joy of this festival — whether it’s through music, food, cultural performances, or fun activities — they carry those lessons with them, growing into the next generation of leaders who will continue to build a strong, vibrant community.

the Annual ALX Lunar New Year celebration
Since we started the ALX Lunar New Year Celebration three years ago in Old Town Alexandria, our goal has been simple: to bring people together, celebrate the Lunar New Year, and support local AAPI small businesses by giving them a free platform to share what they do. Watching this event grow — not just in size but also in the meaningful connections and sense of community it fosters — has truly been an incredible experience.
What began as a way to showcase how different Asian American communities celebrate has become a space where people from all backgrounds can come together, learn from each other, and simply enjoy the magic of the New Year. This celebration is more than just an event—it’s about supporting each other, celebrating who we are, and creating a community where everyone feels welcome.

Vietnamese American Legacy Project
As we mark 50 years of Vietnamese American contributions to our nation, we recognize this historical moment as an opportunity to honor our past, celebrate the present, and build a brighter future.
The Vietnamese American Legacy Project seeks to strengthen our communities, promote unity, and empower the next generation of leaders in public service, business, academia, and the arts.
