In collaboration with the 1882 Foundation, the DC Chinatown Walking Tour uncovers the hidden layers of today’s Chinatown, offering a deeper look into the Chinese diaspora in Washington, DC. Though the history of Chinatown is intricate, multifaceted, and often preserved through personal memory, this tour brings that past to life—illuminating both the historical and contemporary experiences of the people and communities who have shaped this vibrant neighborhood.

Our third annual festive Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, January 25, 2025 to ring in the Year of the Snake at the ALX Community – Atrium Building, in Old Town Alexandria!
The ALX Lunar New Year Celebration highlights the rich diversity and cultural contributions of Asian Americans in Alexandria, offering an inclusive space for the entire community to experience the beauty and traditions of Lunar New Year. The event will feature Live Performances, Family-Friendly Activities, Photo Booths, Raffles & Giveaways, a Lunar New Year Market, a Community Exhibit, and more.
