Let me take a moment to share with you what we are building, and, more importantly, why it matters — especially now.

There is a Vietnamese proverb I carry close to my heart: “Một cây làm chẳng nên non, ba cây chụm lại nên hòn núi cao.” One tree alone cannot make a mountain, but when three trees unite, they rise, tall, strong, and unshakable — like a mountain.

That is the power of community. That is the power of us. And that is what this work is all about.

For the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with many good people in our communities — in family-owned shops, at cultural celebrations, in classrooms, and around dinner tables. And through every moment, I have seen it. When we care for one another, listen, and lift each other up, we thrive together.

But I’ve also seen the other side. I’ve seen dreams go unheard, talents held back, families doing everything they can but still feeling it’s not enough. Not because they’re not trying, but because systems make it harder to thrive.

So I ask: What if we could change that?

What if we could build something bold — a community of communities — where no one has to carry the weight alone? Where every voice is valued. Every dream has room to grow. A place where everyone belongs.

Why we need that space? Because real, lasting change doesn’t come from one person with all the answers. It comes from all of us showing up, rolling up our sleeves, and doing the hard, beautiful, messy work of building something better, together.

And I’ve that spirit in our communities. I’ve seen youth stepping up. Parents working two jobs, still finding time to help a local community event. Elders sharing their wisdom and making space for new voices. That’s the spirit behind Together, We Thrive.

Here, we’re not just putting on events. We’re creating intentional spaces to connect, celebrate culture, and build belonging. We’re lifting up the stories that matter and making sure dreams that have been overlooked finally get the attention they deserve.

We’re not just building for today. We’re building for for the next generation of leaders, artists, and dreamers. For the future we all deserve.

That’s why this work matters. When we lift each other up and truly work together, we don’t just survive. We thrive.
