In partnership with the Kennedy Center, we are proud to present Vietnamese American Heritage Night — an evening of art, culture, and community—at the Skylight Pavilion at the REACH on April 18, 2025, from 6 to 9 PM.

This special gathering will bring together Vietnamese American youth, artists, cultural leaders, and community members from across the country to celebrate our heritage and explore the evolving nature of our identity. Through the transformative power of the arts, we will honor 50 years of progress, resilience, and contributions, celebrate the richness of our American journey, and inspire future generations to pursue their dreams with confidence and purpose.

OUR VISION
More than a celebration, this evening is a reflection of our collective journey and our aspirations for the future. Together, we aim to:

  • Foster cross-cultural understanding and unity through storytelling, music, and art.
  • Honor and celebrate the rich heritage and identity of Americans with Vietnamese Heritage.
  • Provide a dynamic platform for emerging and established artists to share their voices and talents.
  • Strengthen community connections and encourage meaningful collaboration among individuals and organizations.

A THOUGHTFULLY CURATED EXPERIENCE
Under the theme “Who Are We as Americans of Vietnamese Heritage?” guests will explore the past, present, and future of Vietnamese American identity through various artistic expressions.

Art Exhibitions

A curated collection of visual art and interactive installations showcasing the depth, beauty, and complexity of the Vietnamese American experience, featuring both renowned and emerging artists.

Interactive Activities

Guests can participate in interactive hands-on activities. Backdrops with traditional props will also be available to capture memories.

Cultural Performances

A dynamic lineup of captivating performances and cultural demonstration will bring the evening to life, bridging the past and present to create a deeply moving experience for all attendees.

OUr performers & Artists

Lạc Long Quân (LLQ) is a high-energy, non-profit lion dance team based in Northern Virginia. Through the vibrant art of lion dancing, the team showcases the strength, courage, and spirit of a new generation of Vietnamese Americans. Their performances bring energy and authenticity to a wide range of events, including Tết festivals, grand openings, weddings, and community celebrations.

Hùng Vương Lion Dance Team is a nonprofit dedicated to celebrating and preserving cultural heritage through the powerful tradition of lion dancing. The team operates as an extracurricular program within their Scout Troop, empowering youth to embrace their roots, build leadership skills, and bring communities together through performance.

Originally from Cần Thơ, Vietnam, Mixed Miyagi was raised in Tampa, Florida, where he was captivated by the Hip Hop Culture. As a biracial immigrant, he holds his Nigerian and Vietnamese roots close to his heart. Miyagi expresses his passion for social justice, cultural awareness, lyricism, and clever wordplay.  His most viewed music video today, titled “Việt Nam Xin Chào”, which is a nod to his hometown, has garnered over 1 million views on YouTube. He received praise for his talents, and for embracing his Vietnamese roots. This is the musical artistry of rap that he continues to inspire the world with.

Miyagi is also one of the Co-Founders of the Saigon Night Market @saigonnightmarket in Clearwater, Florida, sharing Asian culture and cuisine with the community.

Rachele is a powerhouse singer and songwriter from Southern California with an unwavering passion for music. You might recognize her from her unforgettable performances on Season 24 of NBC’s The Voice, where she left the judges and audiences in awe with her incredible vocals and captivating stage presence. Now, Rachele is stepping into the year stronger than ever, bringing fresh energy and passion to her music. She’s been putting in work, perfecting her sound, and is now releasing new R&B and hip-hop tracks that hit just right. Stay tuned…there’s plenty more on the way.

Soprano singer – as her name exemplifies, Evelyn Mê-Linh exudes an elegant embodiment of both Western and Vietnamese culture through her life and work. From the bustling enclave of Little Saigon in Southern California to the vibrant streets of New York City, Evelyn Mê-Linh’s journey is not one to miss.

3ÂM is a  dynamic performing arts trio, integrating modern & traditional Vietnamese elements through dance & martial arts choreography, honoring resilient Vietnamese women with movements showcasing a journey of hardship, a longing for home, and a celebration of newfound freedom.

An acclaimed choreographer who has created works for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Sacramento Ballet, Ailey II, Ballet Austin, Philadanco, and Paris By Night.

Carrying on his father Hoi Vu’s legacy, recipient of the 1969 JFK Honor Prize,, calligrapher Nhượng Vu brings Vietnamese brush art to life. Blending tradition with modern expression, his work celebrates the beauty of words.

Amid nationwide commemorations of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War’s end, the Vietnamese American Heritage Night at the Kennedy Center stands as the premiere event in a series of strategic initiatives in the Washington DC Metropolitan area.
